The project
The Societat Catalana de Cirurgia Ortopèdica i Traumatologia came to us looking for something different. Not another hotel conference room. Not another generic team dinner. They wanted an experience that would bring their community together — surgeons, researchers and specialists — in a way that felt genuinely memorable.
We chose Caves Vilarnau, a historic winery in the heart of the Penedès wine region, just outside Barcelona. A space with atmosphere, heritage and the kind of quiet elegance that makes people feel like somewhere special is happening.
The programme was designed to move naturally — from focused afternoon talks to an informal cocktail dinner with live music, letting the evening build its own energy without forcing it.
Arrival & music
Guests arrived to live music on the rooftop terrace — drinks in hand, city spread out below. The kind of arrival that immediately signals this is not a normal work event.
Cocktails & canapés
As the light changed over the city, the pace shifted — cocktails, curated canapés and the kind of informal energy that lets people connect without an agenda.
Live music & celebration
Live music carried the evening into the night — not a performance to watch, but a sound that made the whole rooftop feel like the city's best-kept secret. The kind of ending people talk about on Monday.
Gastronomy
Every element of the catering was chosen to keep people on their feet and in conversation — cocktails that felt celebratory without being excessive, canapés that complemented the energy of the afternoon. Food and drink as atmosphere, not just sustenance.
We've done team events before. Nothing has come close to this. Sugar understood immediately what we needed — not a team building, but a moment. The rooftop, the music, the whole evening was flawless.
