The project
The Societat Catalana de Cirurgia Ortopèdica i Traumatologia came to us looking for something different. Not another hotel conference room. Not another generic team dinner. They wanted an experience that would bring their community together — surgeons, researchers and specialists — in a way that felt genuinely memorable.
We chose Caves Vilarnau, a historic winery in the heart of the Penedès wine region, just outside Barcelona. A space with atmosphere, heritage and the kind of quiet elegance that makes people feel like somewhere special is happening.
The programme was designed to move naturally — from focused afternoon talks to an informal cocktail dinner with live music, letting the evening build its own energy without forcing it.
Talks & presentations
A series of short presentations by SCCOT members in the historic cave setting — science and surgery in a space that made even the most routine update feel worth attending.
Cocktail dinner
An informal cocktail dinner among the wine barrels — Penedès wines, canapés and the freedom to move, connect and talk without the formality of a seated dinner.
Music & celebration
Live music to close the evening — not a grand production, just the right energy at the right moment. The kind of ending that makes people stay longer than they planned.
Gastronomy
The cocktail menu was as carefully considered as the rest of the evening — local produce, Penedès wines and the kind of food that keeps people moving, talking and comfortable. Gastronomy as a social tool, not just a necessity.
Sugar delivered everything we needed — and things we didn't know we needed. The SCCOT team building was the most talked-about event in the association's recent history. Flawless execution from start to finish.
